Crescent & Crayon uses explicit rules for activity design, religious sensitivity, editorial review, accessibility, privacy and product information.

A child should be able to understand what the page asks
If an activity says five dates, the picture should contain exactly five recognizable dates. Mazes need valid routes. Matching and search activities need deterministic answers.
Check routes
Mazes must have a usable start-to-finish path.
Check instructions
The wording must match what appears visually on the page.
Avoid ambiguity
Unclear shapes, duplicate answers and misleading symbols are rejected.
Sacred material is treated differently from ordinary decoration
The content rules prohibit depictions of Allah, prophets, companions or sacred identifiable figures. Quranic text, hadith, Allah’s names and sacred text are not turned into coloring or decorative elements. Generated activity imagery does not use the Kaaba.
Arabic content
Arabic requires a real Arabic font, correct right-to-left layout and human review. It should not be treated as decorative pseudo-script.
Specific teaching
When an article moves from general family activity advice into specific religious teaching, a trusted knowledgeable reviewer should check it before publication.
Automated does not mean unreviewed
The first 100 editorial packets are imported as drafts. Publishing requires checks for links, imagery, accuracy, disclosures and religious sensitivity when applicable.
Draft first
Automation creates or updates the same post by external ID instead of duplicating it.
Check images and links
Featured media, alt text and internal paths are checked before scheduling.
Check factual claims
Concrete claims should be verified rather than repeated because they sound plausible.
Schedule after review
Only reviewed content enters the automatic publishing cadence.
No fake proof or invented commerce data
The site does not invent testimonials, ratings, awards, sales numbers, prices or availability. Product schema only uses information that is actually visible and maintained.
Interaction should not be required just to read the page
Public pages use semantic landmarks, logical headings, keyboard-visible focus, readable type, practical touch targets and reduced-motion support.
Optional tools should not outrun consent
Analytics are optional, and third-party trackers should not load before consent where consent is legally required. The legal pages are editable templates and are not presented as legal advice.
A published page can still be improved
If you spot a broken link, inaccurate activity, confusing instruction, accessibility problem or religious-content concern, use the contact route so the record can be reviewed and corrected.
What to include
Send the page URL, a short description of the issue and—if relevant—the exact image or activity title. That makes the correction easier to reproduce.
What happens next
The site owner can update the underlying record, and dynamic cards and related modules will reflect the change without editing every page manually.
